I am very aware of the fact that I had expressed the intention to put up some posts on my friends….. and seeing as I haven’t, it may appear that I am a liar…. or that I just don’t have any friends.
I’m comforted knowing that no one has held me accountable to my blog writing failures. I chalk it up to the fact that no one is actually reading this…. not that I don’t have any friends….. I do. They’re just really busy doing other things. A lot of other REALLY awesome things.
I know this only because I read a few blogs….. and from what I’ve gathered, there are a couple keys to blogging well:
a. Have something to write about.
2. Write
….. and it seems the latter more important than the former.
So…. As things around here haven’t been too interesting, filling this blog with stories of my wild (!) life as an artist (?), may end up being both sourly disappointing for the reader and arduous for myself, I thought I’d make better use of my time here to share with you a bunch of my friends.
My friends are generally harder working than me, and have more to share too…. so the ‘things to write about’ should take care of themselves.
As for the second part….
I already told you, I’m not much of a blogger, so it shouldn’t be any surprise that I’ll be starting to ‘write’ another time.
The Gallery has been a good friend to me (aswell, the Calgary art scene) since they first let me show work there in 2008.
Leading up to my 2009 show there, Ramin Eshraghi-Yazdi of Nur Films somehow took my cranky only hours before the show self, and turned it into promo gold. Thanks Ramin.
